In addition to maintaining specific portfolios, CMCC works closely with CMAI to develop client specific strategies for institutions and high net worth individuals.

CMCC develops static and dynamic rule sets for the selection and management of investment assets generally within specific asset classes.  Investment portfolios may be passive, active, tactical or dynamic.

Passive portfolio management generally will revolve around a fixed number of specific investments which are selected using a particular rule set and periodically rebalanced.

Active portfolio management includes the buying and selling of investments usually within a specific investment class in an attempt to earn higher than average returns in up and down market environments.

Tactical portfolio management tends to cross asset classes and diversification is not generally a consideration.  It is an attempt to be "in the right place at the right time".

Dynamic management is any strategy which results in the use of short sales, leverage or derivatives.  Dynamic activity is generally used to adjust risk and return expectations.
